Charles Mostert

Charles Mostert – Has 33 years experience in the mining industry. He has served as Chairman/CEO/Director in over 14 resource companies listed on the Australian, Toronto (Venture) and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges with over $405 million in capital raisings. He has a vast international network of financiers in the mining industry and to a lesser extend in the financial sector. His resources experience includes gold, diamonds, coal, copper and iron ore. Charles holds a B.Comm (Hons) degree, a Certificate in Mining Taxation and an MBL degree. Charles is the founder member of SunRanch.Solar™.

Daan van Heerden

Daan van Heerden – Daan is a qualified Mining Engineer with 27 years experience in the mining industry. He has a vast experience base in managing mining operations in South Africa and abroad in both open cast and underground operations for major and junior mining companies such as Harmony Gold Mining, Lonrho Mining Plc and Gengold. Daan has made valuable contributions in the areas of Ore Reserve Management and Mine Services Management with the purpose of improving mining productivity and reducing operating costs. Daan currently serves as the Managing Director and Independent Technical Advisor to Minxcon (Pty) Ltd, a South African advisory company that offers a wide range of exploration, mining, management, valuation, financing and advisory services which caters to both local and international companies. Daan's qualifications include an M.Comm degree (RAU), a B.Ing Mining degree (UP), diplomas in Data Metrics (UNISA) and Advanced Development Programme (London Business School) and a Mine Managers Certificate. Daan is a member of the Association of Mine Managers of SA, Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Engineering Council of South Africa and a fellow of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Johan Odendaal

Johan Odendaal – Johan is a qualified Geologist and Mining Engineer with 26 years experience in the mining and financial industry. This includes 7 years as an independent mining consultant specialising in the valuation of mining projects and 12 years as a mining analyst at Huysamer Stals and Merril Lynch where he was actively involved in financial analysis and advising mining companies and investment bankers on corporate mining transactions. During this time he was rated as one of the top platinum and gold analysts and recognised as a industry specialist. Johan commands a wide range of knowledge of South African and international mining companies and regular contact with the mining and investment community has allowed him to build an extensive network of contacts around the globe. Johan currently serves as a Director to Minxcon (Pty) Ltd, a South African advisory company to the resources industry. Johan's qualifications include a B.Sc. degree in geology (RAU), a B.Sc. Hons degree in Mineral Economics (RAU), and a M.Sc.degree in Mining Engineering (Wits). He is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa, the Natural Scientist Institute of South Africa, the Investment Analysts Society of South Africa and a fellow of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Frank Chikane

Frank Chikane – FRANK CHIKANE has an intensive knowledge in international affairs and on the African continent. Besides working with President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa on various international issues he particularly participated in the development of the vision of the African Renaissance leading to the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). NEPAD dealt with cross-border infrastructure projects and strategic economic development programmes whilst the APRM peer reviewed African countries. He participated in peace making and conflict resolution and mediation processes in Lesotho, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Burundi, Cote d' Ivoire, and Zimbabwe; and assisted in post-conflict recovery processes in Rwanda. He was a Commissioner of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for the 1994 first democratic elections in South Africa; Advisor to Mbeki when he was Deputy President and the Director General to his Office as Deputy President and later President of the country; Secretary of Cabinet; and Head of the Forum of Directors-General of all departments of the Government of South Africa (FOSAD). After leaving Government he offered advisory services to companies doing business on the African continent, particularly in mining and energy resources; matched projects (assets) with investors; developing, designing and structuring projects and deals in a manner that made them attractive to investors; and participating as a shareholder and or in Boards which took responsibility for the development of some of the projects. He serves in a number of Boards in South Africa and he is the International President of his Church. He holds two masters degrees public management and administration (MPA, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University) and religious studies (MA, Natal University, now University of KZN); a Senior Executive Management Programme (Harvard) and a Diploma in Theology (Pan Africa Bible College).

Dario Clemente

Dario Clemente – Dario (HND Ext. Met. Wits, GCC, BLDP (WBS), MMMA, FIMM), has been involved in the Metallurgical and Mining Industry for over 38 years. He started his career with JCI in the platinum and base metal refineries. He later held management positions in the Gold and uranium division. He also spent five years in Europe where he co-managed the Tungsten and Tin operations owned by Anglo American and was also the project leader of an EU sponsored program to recover metals from tailings dams throughout Europe. Before returning to SA he was consulting metallurgist for an RTZ Copper/tin mines in Portugal. He was the Group metallurgist for Harmony and later became the General Manager of an open cast gold mining operation. He joined the Minxcon group, as a Director and partner in 2008. He is responsible for the project management in Minxcon Projects with his skills directed at the metallurgical discipline in all projects that involve processing or refining of commodities. He is currently involved in a wide range of projects which include plant designs, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, competent persons reports (CPR) and operational and technical consulting in a wide range of commodities which includes precious metals and base metals as well as coal and industrial minerals.

Uwe Engelmann

Uwe Engelmann – Uwe Engelmann (B.Sc. Hons, Wits University, 1991) has gained over 19 years' experience in the mining and exploration industry working for various mining companies in South Africa. During this time he was involved in research in Antarctica, held various geological positions as well as an Ore Resource Manager for eight years where he was involved in the production and exploration on the shafts, strategic planning, ore resources and reserves as well as the daily management of the shafts. He has been heading up the exploration division of Minxcon Exploration (formerly Agere Project Management) since 2007 where he has been involved in most aspects of exploration, predominantly in Africa, in a wide range of commodities including gold, platinum, copper, coal, manganese and iron ore.

Victor Chiwara

Victor Chiwara - Victor is a qualified geologist with more than 18 years experience in the mining industry. During his tenure he has served with a number of world class companies including Rio Tinto Exploration where he was Project Geologist in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa and Consulting Geologist at Simandou Iron Ore in Guinea. Prior to joining Keras Capital, Victor served as a Consulting Geologist for Forbes Manhattan and Gidary Technical Solutions. He has a specialized insight in the Global Minerals Industry with specific experience in gold, coal, diamonds, copper and Iron Ore. Mr Chiwara holds a Masters in Engineering (Wits) Mineral Economics and a Master of Philosophy in Geology (UZ). He is a member of the Geostatistical Society and Geological Society of South Africa.

Willem Mostert

Willem Mostert - Willem is a qualified Forensic Accountant who holds a Bcomm (Hons) degree in Forensic Accounting and a Certificate in Commercial Forensic Information Technology and is a full member of the Institute of Commercial Forensic Practitioners. During his tenure he worked as Forensic Investigator at KPMG Forensics where he was involved in various Forensic Audits in the Mining, Construction, Telecommunication and Banking industries. Prior to joining Keras Capital Willem was the Financial Crime Compliance Officer at Barclays Africa where he managed the Financial Crime deliverables for the 11 African countries within the Barclays Africa jurisdiction and also managed a control framework review project in Mozambique.
